My final box bag from Vellvette arrived today. It arrived pretty early this time. So thanks to Vellvette team for being so prompt.
The August bag is based on the theme "TICKET TO HOLLYWOOD " But, the products? Have they impressed me? Uhmm...NO! :-|
So here is what I got,
- Just Herbs Anti Wrinkle kit ( Repeat product?!)
- Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Extreme ( Clear gloss! Why do Vellvette send me everything in clear? Clear nailpolish, clear gloss. Dude, I do love colors! )
- H2O Restorative Eye Cream (The only product I am looking forward to try out.)
- MMMM Bonus: SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Gel(The tube is so small, I wonder if there is anything inside?!)
All that novelty for subscription boxes has worn off, since I saw I am not using 80% of the products that I got in these boxes. Apart from the June Box, none impressed me much and so I am saying good bye to Vellvette Box here and now.

So my July Vellvette Box arrived pretty late than the previous boxes, resulting in my first disappointment.
Next, the contents are not that interesting/luxurious and I am not particularly happy about any one of them. I expected a better box as Vellvette completed a year this month.
Here is what I got,
- Sally Hansen Miracle Cure for Severe Problem Nails (which is a transparent base/top coat in actual!)
- Nyassa Morning Dew Body Mist (which doesn't smell much enticing as the name sounds)
- I ♥ Layla Nail polish in a transparent shade (two base/top coat in one box?! :-/)
- Bling’s Nail Applique (have tried these kind of nail stickers before and they are not luxurious on nails as such!)
- LA Glitter Splash Mascara in Abbys (The only product worth mentioning)
Okay I sound quite sore, but they did provide two full sized products this month. That's good, but I would have liked the products to be more aligned to my choices. And hope this delivery discrepancy doesn't occur again with my next and final box!
Got my June Vellvette Box Bag today! And I am super, super happy with my... err...bag this time! All the products are well thought out and per my choice. :D Check out the pics below,

This is my 4th box and I am now eagerly looking forward to the next two boxes and if they are equally good or better, then I might think of renewing my subscription.

Dove sent across the new Keratin Active range to try out. And I am completely sold on the packaging. It is so innovative.
I received the Shampoo, Conditioner, and Mask and a complementary 4 GB HP pendrive (seems I am making a collection of pendrives, LOL!) Would try them and review soon!

Overall thoughts: Now what I don't understand where is my M.M.M.M fifth sample?? Or am I supposed to understand that one extra TNC body wash as the fifth sample here. Hmph! :-/ One more thing, the Flormar Lipstick is not a luxurious brand. It is an Italian drugstore brand and their nail paints are widely available in Mumbai for as cheap as Rs.70! Having said that, I am really loving the shade I got and it is not a full on lipstick, its more like a tinted lipbalm/chapstick. Overall I am quite happy with this box as I find all the samples usable.
I got something else too in my mail today,
Yep the Lakmé Clean Up Fresh Fairness range hamper (ain't the whole pink theme uber cute!:-* ) and I totally loved the pink bag, the scented candle and a 4GB (not in pic) HP pendrive that came along with it. Other PRs must take a note on how to make their sample products so much more interesting. Reviews would be coming up soon!..errr..ya soon! ;)
#JustRealized: My wardrobe and drawers are now full of cosmetics, skincare, and haircare stuff, and only half of them are reviewed. God knows when I am going to finish all these up! :P
Hey ya ladies! I received my April Vellvette Beauty Box in the mail today. I am so happy that it arrived so soon. Here is a sneak peek for you ;)
This month's box is way better than the March box, but I still wished for a nail paint or a perfume sample. :P
I am glad to see Velvette teaming up with Motives, such a widely known international brand. You can check out the reviews of some Motives products that I did a while back.
Listing the products that I got in the box,
- Motives Mardi Gras Palette
- The Nature's Co. Red and Green tea Sunscreen Lotion
- Mary Kay extra emollient night cream
- NYX lipgloss in shade strawberry (Extra sample for the March offer)
Overall thought: I am happy to see the Motives palette in the box, but to be honest, I have too many palettes to finish up and this seems good to gift away to my friends. Nice to see a product from The Nature's Co. as I wanted to try out the brand, but why sunscreen (oh and it smells weird and muddy.....please spare my face and send something to try on body instead VT!), and the Mary Kay night cream seems too sticky to apply on face (maybe I would use it on hands, as my hands tend to get dry and flaky due to season change). As for the extra sample of NYX lipgloss, it seems that the Vellvette team is sending the surplus products of last few months as extra sample (like the Purely Pro blush in march box ...WHY?! =((

Hey ya gals! As many of you know, the Vellvette Beauty Box is one of the most raved beauty boxes in India at present, and I had an itch to subscribe to it, but withheld my decision as the "rational me" thought, what I am gonna do with these little samples when I have bottles of other products to finish up! While I was pining for it, they posted an offer, of an extra sample for the March subscription (also extra sample each month with 6 months subs) and greedy me jumped the bandwagon.
I placed the order for the 6 months subscription (quite a huge leap there! ;) ), which took a little while to get confirmed as I missed their confirmation call. Anyhow, it got confirmed on 31st March and I received my first Vellvette beauty box today. Yipee! :)
Meanwhile, I got an idea of what to expect in my March box from my other blogger friends and I wasn't happy with some of the products. Thankfully, it isn't a total fail for me, even though I got those products which I disliked in the other's boxes.
Time for some pics. Unwrapping the box (it smelled heavenly when I opened it, but that went away after some time),
Goodies I got,
- Remy Laure DNA Beauty Cream + DNA Hydra Mask samples.
- Mary Kay Lip Liner and 2 Eye liner samples.
- Lush Dream Cream
Hand and Body lotion sample.
- Purely Pro Blush - Strawberry (Bonus product)
- Meiji Amino Collagen Skin Glow (Bonus product)
I liked the Lush Dream cream (as I have never tried anything from this brand) and the Purely Pro Blush (which is a repeat product from Feb box and I don't have much idea about the brand) out of all the samples. I handed over the Meiji collagen pack to my mom, as I am not risking to drink that myself. One thing about the samples, that they are really tiny and hardly would last 1-2times of use (except the blush), so I won't be reviewing these samples as such.
Overall, I am satisfied with my box but not overly happy and excited as I thought I would be. Looking forward to the April box now and I hope to see some Victoria Secret, OPI, TBS and other fragrance samples (as I also suggested in my questionnaire) that made me subscribe to it. Vellvette team, are you listening? ;)
