Parachute Advansed Summer Fresh Body Lotion Review

Hey ya ladies (and 'gentle'men too if you are reading this ;) )! I am popping in again! :P As you might already know, that I have dry-combination, sensitive skin and it just can't tolerate any heavy creams/lotions (forget about layering SPF creams and all :( ), even on a slight humid day. So you can relate, that moisturisers and my skin become sworn enemies during this hot, humid season. But I can't totally skip nourishing my skin, else it would turn scaly/flaky/lifeless. Now that the monsoon has arrived, I need a light moisturiser that beats the humidity and helps my skin not to turn patchy. 

Parachute Advansed Summer Fresh Body Lotion came in the right time, as it is just appropriate for the hot summer and humid monsoon time.Why so? Read on!

INGREDIENTS:

MY EXPERIENCE: The Summer fresh lotion comes in the similar curvy bottle as the previous Parachute Advansed Body Lotion. The consistency and moisturising property of the Summer Fresh variant lies in between the Gentle Care and the Intense Care variants. But I would prefer this one over the other two because of a number of reasons.  

First, it keeps my skin moisturised throughout the day without any re-application, and doesn't give any sticky or sweaty feeling, unlike other lotions. Second, the mint+coconut smell is so refreshing and it is retained by the skin for quite some time. The mint extracts leaves a slight cool feeling on skin, (can be felt more on face than other body parts). Third, the price is so affordable and so economical for the quantity! And even when I tried it a few times on face, it didn't break me out in this humid weather *yay* :D.

WHAT I LIKED:

• True to it's name it keeps the skin fresh and moisturised throughout the whole day!
• The light texture helps it to get quickly absorbed by skin.
• Never irritates, or feels sticky / sweaty! Rather provides a nice, cool feeling because of the mint extracts!
• Amazing sweet refreshing smell, which I absolutely love.
• Comes in an effective packaging with a flip top cap.
• Price is so economical.
• Has SPF (but how much is it? Not mentioned!)

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

• This is not a con for me. But I think extremely dry, flaky skin might require heavier moisturisation than this one provides!
• As the name suggest it is meant for summer or hot, humid weather. There are other variants supposed to be used in winters!

VERDICT: If you run away from body lotions due to humidity in this summer, then this Parachute Advansed Summer Fresh Body Lotion could be your answer. It is light and perfect for the humid weather and so easy on the pocket that you won't mind trying it out once.

What came in the mail? :D

I just received something in the mail and I wasn't even expecting it! :D The awesome PR people at Parachute Advansed Body Lotion has sent the latest Summer Fresh version of their Body Lotion to try out! Now I generally don't do any pre-post on PR products as such, then why I am telling you this? Because no other brand has ever been seen to send PR products in such a gorgeous package. The PR people at Parachute Advansed Body Lotion do it the BEST! I still haven't tried out the lotion but would soon test it and review it for you all. For now drool on the pictures of the beautiful package!

The wooden box is so lovely. Perfect for storing beauty products and jewelry/trinkets!

And loved their style of sending scented candles and mint candies, like they did the last time, along with a pamphlet with the details of the product prices.

Parachute Advansed Body Lotion Review

Didn't I say I will be MIA for a while? Well...ya..kind of...err :P...actually I will be busy with some project work, a friend's wedding, some campus programme, all jam-packed in the upcoming week. So yeah, thought of making the most of this weekend by posting atleast one review before I go on the week long hiatus.

So, today on the menu is(are?) Parachute Advansed Body Lotion(s) that I got recently. Remember the pre-valentine gift :P. 

I tried both the variants for the last week or so, and now I am ready to put forward what I think of these two products variants, i.e. (i)Dry Skin Intense Care 

and (ii)All season Gentle Care 

from Parachute Advansed Body Lotion range. Before I start the review, I must tell you that I have dry skin in winters, but now, though the temperature is low there is a bit of humidity too, as a result of which I am getting chapped lips and clammy hands at the same time. So my review would based on the above conditions.

INGREDIENTS:

MY EXPERIENCE: Both the variants are light in texture i.e. neither too runny nor very thick, spreads and seeps into skin easily. They both have this sweet coconut cream smell that stays on your skin, so if you don't prefer the coconut smell then you might not find this lotion suitable to your olfactory senses :P Now let me talk a bit about each of the variants individually, 

(i)Dry Skin Intense Care: I preferred this at first because it was meant for Dry skin. It moisturize and hydrates my skin very well. However, it gets easily washed away so requires re-application. Again, because of the humidity I find my skin turns clammy behind the knees sometimes if I use this liberally and feels a bit sticky too for a while. I am in two minds with this one.

(ii)All season Gentle Care : This is meant for normal skin, but I really loved this one more because it is very light on my skin and makes it supple and hydrated without any sticky feeling. Only thing is, it requires reapplication as it washes off easily leaving a stretchy feeling.

To sum it up,

WHAT I LIKED:

•  The light texture makes it easy to moisturize the skin well.
• I like the sweet coconut smell (not the oil version) but if you do not prefer this kind of smell then you should avoid it, as it really persists on the skin.
• Very affordable and economical for the quantity you get.
• The All season Gentle Care version would be suitable for the summers too.
• Comes in a nice curvy packaging which is spill-proof hence would be travel friendly.

#Tip: Coconut oil is great for de-pigmentation of skin, tried and tested by me :D. Guess which coconut oil I used, ofcourse the most trusted Parachute Coconut Oil. I had some scars/pigmentation on my legs from childhood. This oil helped in lightening them to a great extent.The results are not immediate obviously, but takes some 3-4 months to show some actual change.  

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

• The Dry Skin Intense Care variant gives a heavy and sticky feeling at first which I don't like.
• Both have low staying power and requires re-application.

 
VERDICT: I really liked the Parachute Advansed Body Lotion range especially, All season Gentle Care lotion. If you don't mind re-application then this can be the most economic option available.

Parachute Advansed Body Lotion - A Preview

Hola Ladies! Valentine's Day is just two weeks to go :x and look what I got in the mail today? A pre-valentine gift. :D Well, its not from ...ahem....'him' if you are wondering (he won't take so much pain to give such nice things wrapped in something peach and satin :P LOL!)

It is a gift hamper from Parachute Advansed Body Lotion. I loved the fact that they cared to send the sample products beautifully wrapped in a peach box, complete with satin ribbons and also included some lovely chocolates (which I have already ate up :P), floral scented candles and a CD called "OMG! I'm in Love", a compilation of 51 love songs. Seeing all these beautiful things packed in so nicely, my heart definitely sang aloud OMG! I'm in Love :D. Check out the pics below,
