Hello beauties! Today I am back with another review of a new addition to my modest lipstick stash i.e. the Lotus Herbals MoistPetals™ Lipstick in Shade Red Rover. Lotus Herbals has recently launched their Festive Glam collection with 6 new trendy shades in their MoistPetals™ range and 5 exciting shades of their Seduction™ LipGloss. I was sent 1 lipstick and 1 Lipgloss from this collection to try out. This was my first experience with their MoistPetals range and here is my view on it.
PRICE: Rs.349
QUANTITY: 4.2g
WHAT IT CLAIMS: "A premium quality luxurious lip color which hydrates, nourishes & protects lips for hours with symphytum officinale & plantage oyata seed botanical extracts. 100% vegetarian: no animal ingredients."
INGREDIENTS : Lotus Herbals MOISTPETALS™ lip colours contain botanical extracts of Symphytum Officinale & Plantago Oyata Seeds. Complete list is not given.
SWATCH:
MY EXPERIENCE: Lotus Herbals Moist Petals Red Rover is a bright red lipstick (a first one for me!) with some orangish undertones. It gives a silky/satin finish to the lips, decently moisturises the lips and stays on for quite a few hours. Once swipe gives full coverage to the lips. When I tried it for the first time I went on with the full blown color but the shade didn't suit my yellow undertones or maybe I am a bit awkward wearing such bright shades, then I have been using it just dabbing on my lips lightly and top it off with the new Seduction™ gloss (review coming up soon) and I can carry it this way with much ease. So all in all I would say,

WHAT I LIKED:
- Gives a nice silky, satin finish to the lips.
- One swipe gives nice coverage to the lips.
- Stays on easily for 2-3 hrs. I haven't tried it with meals in between though so can't comment on that.
- The packaging is very sturdy and the lipstick stub would not melt in high temperatures since it is not that creamy.
- Smell is decent and not overpowering.
- A wide range of shades are available.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
- I can't wear this particular shade in it's full intensity.
- Transfers to objects easily.
RATINGS: 4.25 out of 5

ReplyDelete@Diane Thanks Sweets...yes the color payoff is really good in just one swipe :)
ReplyDeleteThe colour looks awesome...am not too confident about carrying off bolder colours either, but the slightly dabbing and topping off with gloss method is less scary :D
