Maybelline Hyperglossy Liquid Liner - Shade Black and Maybelline Hyper Glossy RunWay Pop Liquid Eyeliner - Shade Tangerine Orange

Maybelline has been one brand that never fails to impress me. I was on the lookout for a glossy finish black eyeliner that doesn't smudge and is kinda waterproof, when I chanced upon Maybelline Hyperglossy Liquid Liner (Black) and it met my requirements to the T. Soon after Maybelline came up with three neon-ish shades in this range called  Maybelline Hyper Glossy RunWay Pop Liquid Eyeliner and I got the shade Tangerine Orange to try out. Read on my review, on both of these pretty eyeliners.

MY EXPERIENCE: Both the Maybelline Hyperglossy Liquid Liner (MHLL now onward) and the Maybelline Hyper Glossy RunWay Pop Liquid Liner (MHRPLL now onward) comes in a tiny tube with a long applicator handle. The brush is thin and tiny, but delivers precise thin lines or thick lines as one wishes to, even with shaky hands like mine. It helps in getting that perfect winged liner in a jiffy in case of both the MHLL and MHRPLL. The shade Black is the darkest black liner I ever came across with a superb glossy finish, while the tangerine orange is quite a unique neon orange shade, and certainly not everyone's cup of tea, and isn't suitable for everyday wear unless you work or study at some real "cool" place. Both of them dries up pretty fast on application, are water resistant, smudgeproof and lasts as long as you don't rub it off your eyes, when it would start flaking (water + rub).

Coming to the not-so-good part. It accentuates the fine lines on my eyelids and feels a bit stretchy on dry skin. So its essential to moisturise the eye area before applying the liner. And why such huge difference between the prices? Grrrr!

 

WHAT I LIKED:

• Glossy, super pigmented formula. 
• Water resistant and smudge proof.
• Nice brush that gives super thin and thick lines.
• Stays and looks freshly applied till the time you keep it on.
• Comes off easily with some water and little rubbing without giving raccoon eyes.
• Doesn't irritate eyes.
• Easily available.
  

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

• Flakes on rubbing with water. (I do like that part as it helps in easy removal).
• The price difference between the regular and the special shades.
• Accentuates the fine lines on my eyelids and feels a bit stretchy if the eye area isn't moisturised properly.

VERDICT: My search for the glossy, jet black liner ends here. Love the Maybelline Hyperglossy Liquid Liner to the core, while the Maybelline Hyper Glossy RunWay Pop Liquid Eyeliner in shade Tangerine Orange is perfect to add some zing to your look on special occasions.
