On a recent offline :P shopping spree of some essentials, I came across the two new Nivea shower gels on the counter (coincidentally it was just the day before I received the press release for the same! ).
Though the pink one looked equally tempting with the yellow beads, on sniffing I liked the purple Powerfruit one and brought it home. After trying it for past few weeks and soon finishing it up, here is what I think of it.
PRICE: Rs.175
QUANTITY: 250 ml
INGREDIENTS:
WHAT IT CLAIMS: Nivea Powerfruit Relax contains anti-oxidants with blueberry extracts that help nourish your skin. This shower gel has a pleasant fruity fragrance of the acai berry that helps soothe your senses. The fine mixture of power fruit and blueberry gently cleanses your skin feeling pampered and revived.
MY EXPERIENCE: Nivea Powerfruit Relax Shower Gel comes in a simple flip top cap packaging. Although the gel looks purple in the bottle, it is actually colorless, or say with just a hint of color that is not visible to eyes. It smells slightly fruity that is pleasant and relaxing, and it reminds me of some old shampoo whose name I can't seem to remember. It is quite runny in consistency and lathers extremely well which feels a little silky on skin.
Good thing, it doesn't dry out skin (HydraIQ technology?!) even though it gently cleanses away dead skin (even without a loofah). Bad thing, it feels a little slippery on skin and requires extra time and water to wash off. Apart from that I didn't find anything bad. Oh and I don't know how I finished up the bottle so fast, like in 3 weeks! To sum it up,

WHAT I LIKED:
- Pleasant and relaxing aroma.
- Runny consistency that spreads and lathers easily.
- Feels silky on skin.
- Cleanses skin gently yet effectively.
- Doesn't dry out skin.
- Simple and effective packaging.
- Economical and easily available.
- Comes with a free loofah. Gee! :P
WHAT
I DIDN’T LIKE:
- Feels a little slippery, maybe because of it's moisture retaining formula.
- Priced higher than the previous variants.
- I finished up the bottle way too fast. :P
VERDICT: This has been my first try with any of the Nivea shower gels and I quite liked it, so much so that I got the Creme Soft shower gel from Nivea to try next. Review would be up soon. Have you tried any of the new/old Nivea shower gels?

As long as it doesn't cause any immediate harm to my skin I can do with some SLS in the products. :)
