Hello lovely ladies! :) Maybelline has recently launched the Baby Lips lip balms in India, which has been a cult favourite of international beauty bloggers and already is a huge success in India too. I have got the shade Pink Lolita from their color range, which is a tinted lip balm in other words, and I am reviewing it today for you all.
PRICE: Rs.150
QUANTITY: 4.5 g
INGREDIENTS:
WHAT IT CLAIMS: The next generation lip balm is born from Maybelline New York. Adult strength care for baby soft lips in vibrant translucent colors.
MY EXPERIENCE: Maybelline Baby Lips lipbalm comes in a retractable tube packaging which is the best packaging for a lipbalm IMO. The texture is non-waxy and smooth, and doesn't turn oily. It feels quite light on lips and could work as a base for lipsticks.
Coming to the tint, it leaves a light pink tint with a sheen which I actually quite like, though it is not very dark and won't cover pigmentation as such. But, since it has this shine/glossy effect, the light gets reflected back, so to some extent the pigmentation doesn't look so obvious. Lips look soft and supple like a baby's. It hydrates my lips really well and stays for around 3-4 hours (6 hours without any meals/snacks). However, I feel this won't be enough moisturising to heal severely chapped lips. It has got a fruity smell in the tube but I could not find any smell/taste when applied on lips. To sum it up,
WHAT I LIKED:
VERDICT: Overall I really liked the Maybelline Baby Lips Color Range Lip Balm. I like how it makes my lips look supple and plump. Since we all need to take extra care of our lips in this dry season, this would come really handy. But if you have a problem of severely chapped lips, then you might need something more moisturising than this.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work for u ...as I mentioned in the post it might not heal severely chapped dry lips much, but its good enough for hydtrating lips and for me I like the slight tint and plumpy effect it gives...in ur case I would suggest u to go for something extra moisturising.
DeleteHey great review! Baby lips has this facebook 'KISS' campaign going on which actually made me think that I should at least now buy this product. Even though its Summer in India, my lips always feel dry. I checked the website http://maybelline.co.in/products/lips/lip_balm/baby_lips_balm.html.. but I still can't figure out which shades would be the best. I like color so maybe something that shows on my lips. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeletePink Lolita is a pretty shade to try and there is another Coral one :)
