MY EXPERIENCE:
I ordered three Orly mini polishes in Witches Blue , Goth, Luxe from StyleCraze.com (Check out my StyleCraze haul). When I received the package I immediately went on to try out all the shades and swatched them on each nail and I was so glad to pick up such gorgeous shades (even my mom seconded that :D) esp. the Witches blue and Goth.
I did a mani with Witches blue and the Luxe shade as you can see above and another one with only the Goth shade. All of them are without any base or top coat.
Here is what I think of about each of the three shades,

Witches Blue: A true royal blue with finely milled shimmers which would definitely earn your nails a second look ( third and fourth too :P ). 1 coat gives complete coverage, however 2-3 coats enhances its gorgeousness. In the above pictures on all my fingers except the thumb have 1 coat of WB. On thumb it is 3 coats to show you its true beauty.
Luxe: A foil effect nailpolish with micro glitters which gives opaqueness with 2-3 coats. I bought this to use in Konad stamping, however this is not very helpful in that section, but it is a gorgeous gold color nonetheless. In the above pictures the ring finger have 2 coats of Luxe.
Goth: A black polish with heavy silver glitter. I applied it in between my exams. So whenever I peeked at my nails instead of my ‘notes’, I would just go on staring at it and I would get a feeling of a starry black night and could almost find some galaxies in there. :P The large amount of sparkles make it look a bit like dark grey instead of black when viewed from a distance and can make hands look a bit dirty that way. 1-2 coat gives opaque coverage. Above pictures have 2 coats of Goth.
Now my overall view of the Orly Mini Polishes,

WHAT I LIKED:
  • Each of the polishes has even consistency and spreads easily.
  • The brush is of very good quality and helps in proper application.
  • Too many gorgeous shades available.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • The chipping time is exponential to the number of coats, i.e. 1 coat= chips next day, 2 coats= chips in 2-3 days, 3 coats= no chipping till 7 days ( *depending on the torture your nails face, and chipping is at the edges only.)
  • The price is ofcourse a bit on the higher side for the quantity, but getting those gorgeous colors compensates for that I think.
  • Can’t be used in Konad stamping.
VERDICT: I guess you already know. Just go and buy them now :D

RATINGS: 4.5 out of 5

Whew! That was quite a long post. All the pent up blogging ideas I guess.. LOL :P
