Time and again, Sunsilk has proven that it's a brand to reckon with, amidst the pool of well known haircare brands. The new Sunsilk Radiant Shine Shampoo and Conditioner is my (hair's) new found love! Read on my review to know more.

WHAT IT CLAIMS: Sunsilk Radiant Shine has ultra light fusion of oils from ingredients famed for their beneficial effects on hair –  Argon, Jojoba, Camellia, Almond and Olive. The dual effects of oiling and washing to a large degree soften the hair texture not just from the outside, but actually aim to ensure that the hair receives its share of nourishment at periodic intervals. The light oils permeate upto three layers deep and give hair a natural sheen that stays as the day progresses. Sunsilk Radiant Shine shampoo and conditioner work in combination to produce an enduring visibly glossy look that stays on and on!

MY EXPERIENCE: In the past few months, my hair saw a tryst with most heavily silicone based shampoos (read Dove and TRESemmé ranges), that my hair wanted to take a break from. Sunsilk Radiant Shine Shampoo and Conditioner (it is also silicone based, but quite milder) made the perfect alternative and I have been using this range for past 3+ weeks.

Shampoo : Sunsilk Radiant Shine Shampoo comes in a simple flip top cap bottle. The texture of the shampoo is very runny and light that lathers easily. It cleanses hair properly without drying it out. My hair has gone dull in the monsoon. But this added the much required shine and softness, which I love the most about it.   

It even makes the frizz appear shiny, and they don't look like dry hay. It has got a bubblegum-y, fruity fragrance which I am not that fond of, as it is really strong and it persists after wash. 

Conditioner:  Sunsilk Radiant Shine Conditioner comes in a flip cap tube. The texture is semi-creamy (more fluffy), that doesn't feel heavy on hair. It spreads and washes off easily. It adds smoothness and controls frizz to an extent.

It has got the same fragrance as the shampoo. The shampoo and conditioner duo made my hair more manageable in this monsoon.

WHAT I LIKED:

• Lathers and cleanses hair properly.
• Adds shine, lustre, softness and makes hair appear more smooth.
• Hair doesn't feel weighed down or dull.  
• Controls frizz to an extent.
• Effective packaging and affordable price. 

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

• Not fond of the overbearing fruity fragrance.

VERDICT: It is definitely not any miracle product, but it performs as per the claims, and works way better than the other heavily silicone based products.

Whew! What a huge title! :P I have already reviewed the Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Detoxifying Shampoo, and the Express Treatment Conditioner. You can also check my review on the Sunsilk Keratinology Heat Protector Spray, from this range. 

And now I am here with my last product review from Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program range, of the Hair Spa Mask. Read on to know whether I liked it or not.

INGREDIENTS:

WHAT IT CLAIMS: Penetrates through three layers of hair, for deep intensive action; reconstructs and seals cuticles leaving hair healthy and beautiful. 

MY EXPERIENCE: Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Hair Spa Mask comes in a tub packaging.The consistency is like thick curd and yeah, it does look like sweet yogurt (misti doi!) to me :P. It has got the same amazing fragrance, common to all the products in this range and hair smells so good after using this and it stays for quite a while. It is instructed to use the mask once a week, though I have already used it 5 times in last 4 weeks, and didn't see any damage. I keep it for 5-10 mins after shampooing my hair, and skip the conditioner on that day. It makes my hair really soft, bouncy and healthy. It works equally well with other shampoos. 

I have also tried it as a pre-shampoo mask and it works the same, though I used the conditioner afterwards for that one time experiment. I am also thinking to experiment further and do a hot turban/ hot air blow treatment with this, like they actually do in a hair spa using steam (Me and my crazy ideas! ;) ). I would update this post again if I see any change. The price is okay I guess, considering the fact that the amount is huge, and it would last easily for 5 - 6 months if used once every week. To sum it up,

WHAT I LIKED:

• Buttery smooth consistency and applies easily on wet hair.
• Makes my hair soft, bouncy and healthy.
• Works on my frizz problem to a great extent.
• Doesn't make hair limp even if used in excess (provided it is washed off properly). 
• I love the smell of the Keratinology range, and it persists on hair.
• Price is economical considering that the 200 ml pack would last really long.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

• The tub packaging, but I don't think a tube/bottle packaging would be viable either, since it's quite thick.
• I haven't seen any miraculous change in my hair in these 4 weeks, but then my hair wasn't much damaged to start with. It did help to maintain and tame my frizzy hair.

VERDICT: I don't say it's a miracle product, but I liked the fact that this mask doesn't make any high claims, but it really works to give soft, beautiful hair. If you have rough, dry or damaged hair, and is looking for a product to tame those locks, then I would recommend you to try out the Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Hair Spa Mask once to see the difference it does.

Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Detoxifying Shampoo Review

Hey ya beauties! Two weeks back I got the Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Range to try out, basically the shampoo, the conditioner and the mask.

I have already reviewed the Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Express Treatment Conditioner long back when it got launched.

Today I am going to review the Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Detoxifying Shampoo for you guys.

WHAT IT CLAIMS: 
Keratinology by Sunsilk Advanced Reconstruction Program Detoxifying Shampoo features a cleansing formula that works on salon-treated hair to gently remove residue.
The shampoo has been formulated with Keratin Micro Technology to prolong the look and feel of salon-like hair and to address the damage caused by bleaching, colouring, and heat styling.
The shampoo penetrates the hair fibre to help restore and retain moisture loss, while conditioning ingredients help to repair surface damage by sealing cuticles and locking in your colour for longer. 

MY EXPERIENCE: I am loving it! :D In case you still want to read further, go ahead. ;)
Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Detoxifying Shampoo comes in a slim, flip mouthed bottle, like the conditioner. The consistency of the shampoo is moderately thin but it lathers easily. It even washes off oil in one go. I also love the lovely, fruity/perfume-ish smell. I am using it for the past one and a half week regularly.

Coming to the results, it makes my hair feel soft, and very shiny. Also the hair ends look much healthier and it gives slight bouncy curls/waves. Only glitch, it doesn't work much on my frizz problem, and in this dry weather, they are getting more unmanageable :( *hmph*. 
To summarise,

WHAT I LIKED:

• Moderately thin consistency, that lathers well. 
• Provides softness and shine and adds a little bounce to hair.
• Washes off oil in one go even though it's of thin consitency.
• Love the amazing smell.
• Packaging is sturdy and effective but need to be packed carefully while travelling. It's better to tape the dispensing mouth to avoid any spill.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

• I wish it worked on my frizz problem.
• The price is slightly high compared to other drugstore shampoos available in the market.

VERDICT: If you have, dry, rough, coarse hair, then I would suggest you to try out the Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Range. So far I am loving all the products, and would soon review the mask from this range. Let me know if you have tried this and whether you liked it or not.

Sunsilk Keratinology Heat Protector Spray Review

Hey gals! I know I promised you to be regular here, but went missing again :( Well, all the junk I had during the Pujo, took a toll on me, and I wasn't well for past few days and am still in the recovery mode. 

Anywho, today I am going to review another most requested product on B.B.B, which is the Sunsilk Keratinology Heat Protector Spray.

WHAT IT CLAIMS:

Keratinology by Sunsilk Advanced Reconstruction Program Heat Protector Spray features an advanced heat protection formula with UV filters to protect heat-styled hair for a frizz-free, professional look.

Salon looks can fade quickly. To sustain them, hair needs to be deeply nourished. Advanced formulations with Keratin Micro Technology reconstruct the hair surface, while micro nutrients penetrate into the hair cortex to deeply nourish the hair.

Directions for use: Use daily to protect against damage caused by heat styling. Apply to dry or damp hair before heat styling. For optimum results use the Complete Advanced Reconstruction Program.

MY EXPERIENCE: This was my first experience with any heat styling hair protectant of any kind, as I got into heat styling only recently. Honestly, I am glad I got myself the Sunsilk Keratinology Heat Protector Spray, as it is really amazing. It comes in a spray bottle packaging, with a tiny stopper, which is actually quite thoughtful on their part. I prefer to use it on slightly damp (Shampooed + conditioned), loosely combed hair, though it works almost equally well on dry hair. Then I blow dry and straighten my hair using the flat iron. It gives a glossy sheen to hair, controls frizz to a great extent (though my microscopic eyes could still find some flyaways), protects from frying my hair and prolongs the staying power of the straightened hair (for me, it makes my hair feel smooth and straight even next day). 

It has also got an amazing fragrance that lingers on the hair. I was using this everyday during Durga Puja to style my hair, and it definitely protected my hair from any heat damage. Except for the price I really don't have much complaints for this, but then products that work doesn't pinch pocket much, right!

WHAT I LIKED:

• Does what it claims, protects hair from heat damage. 
• Gives a glossy sheen and controls frizz to a great extent.
• Has got an amazing smell that stays.
• The smooth, straight salon like hair effect lasts till next day/next wash.
• Works equally well on dry or damp hair. But I prefer to use on damp hair.
• The sturdy spray bottle packaging with the stopper makes it travel friendly.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

• A few flyaways that my eyes doesn't miss to notice.
• The price is a bit high, but then the product really works hence I really don't mind.
  

VERDICT: Sunsilk's got it bang on this time with their new Keratinology range. First their conditioner, and now the hair spray, both have really impressed me, or rather my dry hair, very well. If you are still looking for a heat protectant spray, then I do recommend Sunsilk Keratinology Heat Protector Spray to you.

Another random buy,

I needed a makeup organizer/drawer and I got this one from a local store. Guess what, it costed me Rs.170 only, but the major con is, it's really small and my skin care products won't fit in and I need atleast two/three more of this to fit in my whole makeup stuff :P. Still on the hunt for an affordable makeup organizer/drawer. Couldn't find it in Big Bazaar, neither any local shops near my place has those large stackable plastic drawers. If anyone from Kolkata reading this, knows from where I can get them, kindly let me know!

So ya, I am back with the review of the conditioner (no I am not repeating the name for sake of increasing the word count..err..I actually did that :P) that I got in my recent haul. Now, what made me buy this. Well, you see Sunsilk has this trend of coming with remodeled products with the same old formula every now and then, which I am not bothered to try out most of the times. But this time the new shape and color and the whole glam factor of the range made me buy this conditioner and the words 'salon like', 'Keratin Micro Technology' etc. acted like a catalyst in the process. And I am glad I did. Read on to know why!

MY EXPERIENCE: Sunsilk Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Express Treatment Conditioner is of medium consistency that is neither too thick and creamy nor too runny, but perfect to easily spread and apply on wet hair. The color and consistency reminds me of 'mishti doi' (sweet yogurt) :P. It has got a strong but nice smell which lingers on for a bit after washing off. The best thing about this conditioner is that, it not only makes my hair 'feel soft', but also my hair ends seems 'visibly softer, with soft light curls at the end, without any curling or heat. Like any other good conditioner it helps in easy detangling, makes my hair more manageable, though I haven't seen any drastic change in my hairfall i.e. it has neither increased or decreased, or the frizzy top layer (which I think is completely roasted and fried and nothing can work on it :( ). 

WHAT I LIKED:

• The medium consistency is perfect for my dry hair.
• I quite like the strong smell, but that depends on personal choice.
• I like how it makes my hair 'visibly soft' like they blare on the ads, which is quite a nice change for me.
• Makes my hair look shinier and healthier.
• For the work it does, I am okay with the price.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:

• The packaging i.e the dispensing mouth of the bottle is not spill proof and that's from my personal experience. There was a bit of leakage when the product reached me. Hence, not very travel friendly.
• Though I don't care as long as the product works, but I think this conditioner leads to product build up on hair, because when I wash my hair the next day, it feels a bit too sleek as if there is a film on my hair. #Note: I rinse my hair properly after applying the conditioner, so that's not an issue!
• Doesn't give me the perfect salon straight hair like it claims, but then I don't use any blow dryer or straightener to get one.

VERDICT: Now, this is surely giving a hard competition to my HG conditioner and going to my love list for hair care. I am definitely going to get some back-up. If you have rough/dry hair the you can give this a try. I am sure you won't be disappointed.
