Super Body Care Body Spray Review

How many of you dare to experiment with your beauty products? By experiment I mean using your lip liners as eye liners, lipsticks as base for blushes, body washes on face, face scrubs on body and so on and so forth? Well, I am sure most of you have your own little lab of experiments, as I do have mine. We all look for products that may serve multipurpose uses in case of (read: beauty) emergencies.
And then I get this product which claims to be a body spray but I didn’t dare to wear it like one. Interestingly, I found a few innovative uses from this though. Yes I am talking about the Super Body Care Body Spray.

PRICE:  $6.95 ea

QUANTITY:  2oz

INGREDIENTS: Water, Denatured Alcohol, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, Polysorbate 80, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamine E), Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Mentha Piperata (Peppermint) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Oil, Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot) Oil, Melaleuca Alternifiolia (Tea Tree) Oil. Only 30% alcohol

WHAT IT CLAIMS: “This cleansing and refreshing Body Spray harnesses the powerful plant oils of Peppermint, Rosemary, Tea Tree, and Lavender. Providing crisp and clean hygiene in the simplicity of a great-smelling spray, it contains ONLY 30% alcohol and added vitamin E to preserve and supplement your skin's protective layers.  Use as a body spray cleanser for optimal skin health, body spritzer scent, deodorizer, or to smell good any time and any place. May also be used on surfaces.”

MY EXPERIENCE: Few months ago, I read a DIY tip for quick cleansing of brushes with hand sanitizer on Sonia’s blog . So, when I received this product and I was trying for alternative uses (as I did not want to smell like some peppermint mouth freshener) from this product, I got this idea to apply Sonia’s tip and voila, a successful experiment accomplished. Can’t believe? See for yourself in the pictures below :)

My Dirty Kabuki Brush
Sprayed some and then swirled it on back of my hand
Almost Clean brush. Repeat again if required. The brush doesn't become too wet and so no need to waste time for drying it.

Now comes the other experiment I did. Me being me, always scratch where it itches (no pun/indecency intended :P). So I had these tiny eruptions on my cheek left from my scratching (which looked like going-to-be-budding pimples and I was terrified). I remembered the PR from Super body care I communicate with, mention something about it’s uses like rapidly heal bug bites, or any wound or unhealthy skin. And going by it’s ingredients and it’s anti-bacterial claims, I dared to spritz a bit on the scratched area before going to bed. It started tingling (like a cooling sensation) and it stopped the itching and soothed the area, and next morning the bumps were reduced too and by the evening they were no more visible.

WHAT I LIKED:
  • It acts like a soothing agent on scratches, infections/bug bites and the likes but I don’t recommend this as an alternative to any medication.
  • Acts great as a quicky brush cleanser for me and saves time for drying the brushes.
  • The product can be used for multipurposes which I definitely like the most and look forward to experiment more with it.
  • Comes in a handy Spritzer bottle.
  • No mineral oil or petroleum based ingredients. Mainly consists of plant matter and essential oils.
  • Super Body Care doesn’t test on animals.
  • It is paraben free.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • Honestly, I didn’t find anything wrong with this product apart from my aversion of using it like a body spray. Only issue is it’s availability here in India.
#Note: Super Body care advertises its products mainly in USA and Australia markets as of now due to hodgepodge international regulations.

VERDICT: I quite liked it as it is a handy product for quick fixes as I stated above. And I am sure you won’t be disappointed too, if you can get your hands on it.

Super Body Care Body Lotion Review

Good morning my beautiful readers. How is the New Year treating you? Mine has been quite boring till now. Does that emphasize how the whole year would be?? :( I hope not. :)
Today I would be reviewing Super Body Care lotion, the next product from the kit I received.

PRICE:  $14.95 ea

QUANTITY: 8oz (I got a 1oz. bottle as a part of the kit.)

INGREDIENTS: Organic Herbal Blend, Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Isopropyl Palmitate (Palm Oil), Stearic Acid, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Organic Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine, Dimethicone, Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), lavendula angustifolia (Lavender), mentha piperata (Peppermint), rosemarinus officianalis (Rosemary), citrus bergamia (Bergamot), melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Organic Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid.

WHAT IT CLAIMS: “Super Body Care lotion is made with hydrating organic ingredients that leaves skin soft and protected. Made with Peppermint, Tea Tree, Rosemary, and Lavender plant oils; enjoy the refreshing scent and invigorating tingle. This product is Paraben Free.”

MY EXPERIENCE: With the onset of winters, us dry skinned ladies stock on lotions, oils, moisturisers and what not to keep our skin hydrated and moisturised. So I was quite happy at first to add this lotion to my stash. However, everytime I used it I didn’t feel that complete moisturisation as I get from my Vaseline or other moisturisers. It definitely hydrates my skin but doesn’t get quickly absorbed like other lotions, But it is not greasy or oily on the surface either. It has a thick consistency which needs a lot of time to get seeped into the skin.

WHAT I LIKED:
  • It has got a nice peppermint smell. However, I am not sure if I would like to smell like some minty gum while going out, so I tried it when I am home only. :P
  • Hydrates the skin.
  • No mineral oil or petroleum based ingredients. Mainly consists of plant matter and essential oils.
  • Super Body Care doesn’t test on animals.
  • It is paraben free.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • Doesn’t provide complete moisturisation to my dry skin. So not suitable for the winters.
  • The mouth of the bottle is round and wide so one might pour product than necessary. However, they sell the multiuse pump dispenser too at $1.
  • Availability is an issue. You can buy it from here.
#Note: Super Body care advertises its products mainly in USA and Australia markets as of now due to hodgepodge international regulations.

VERDICT: The ingredients list does make it quite an attractive product but in winters it is a no-no for me. I think this would work in the summer months when you don’t need that intense moisturisation.

Super Body Care Walnut Scrub Review

Hello beauties! Today, I would be reviewing the Super Body Care Walnut Scrub, the next product from my Super Body Care kit. The name itself sounds so good that I started liking it even before using it. It didn’t disappoint me at all. Rather it delivers all my expectations from a scrub. No wonder this is their second best selling product, the first being the Loofah soap bar.

PRICE:  $14.95 ea.

QUANTITY: 8oz (I got a 1oz. bottle as a part of the kit.)

WHAT IT CLAIMS:
“Walnut shells have been ground up into tiny bits and mixed into shower gel to create a perfectly superior scrub. This walnut shell scrub brings together the best of both worlds to create extremely effective cleanliness. Use Super Body Care Walnut Exfoliator as an everyday cleanser or for specific areas on the body.”

INGREDIENTS:
Infusion of calendula, chamomile, cranesbill, lemon peel, sage, burdock, black walnut & balm mint; sodium laureth sulfate, ground walnut shells, sodium acrylate/C10-30 alkyl acrylate  crosspolymer, glycerin, avocado oil, cocoa butter, vitamin E Acetate, panthenol, honey, sodium hydroxymethylglycinate, polysorbate 20 disodium EDTA, lavendula angustifolia (Lavender), mentha piperata (Peppermint), citrus bergamia (Bergamot), rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary), melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree)

MY EXPERIENCE: The Super Body Care Walnut Scrub is a brown colored liquid with suspended walnut scrub particles. The particles help in scrubbing and the liquid foams enough to cleanse the skin (which I like the most about the product.) I always complained why such scrubs don’t foam and act as a good cleanser too but this is a 2-in1 product and it has surely won my heart.
WHAT I LIKED:
  • The scrub particles are mild and didn’t irritate or dry out my skin.
  • Lathers decently even though it is a scrub.
  • This also has the peppermint smell which is common in all their products.
  • Claims to have anti-bacterial properties.
  • No mineral oil or petroleum based ingredients. Mainly consists of plant matter and essential oils.
  • Super Body Care doesn’t test on animals.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • The mouth of the bottle is round and wide so one might pour more product than necessary. However, they sell the multiuse pump dispenser too at $1.
  • Availability is an issue. You can buy it from here.
#Note: Super Body care advertises its products mainly in USA and Australia markets as of now due to hodgepodge international regulations.

VERDICT: This is a great product for everyday mild scrubbing and it cleanses the dead skin away too, leaving it smooth, clean and glowing.

Super Body Care Shower Gel Review

Hello beauties! Winters make me so lazy (well, actually every season does :P). I have so many ideas running through my head but doing only a fraction of it. I am planning to add more variety in my blog and posts. I hope you will like them too. :) Would come to that later.

For today, I would be reviewing the Super Body Care Shower Gel, the next product from my Super Body Care kit.

PRICE:  $12.95

QUANTITY: 8oz (I got a 1oz. bottle as a part of the kit.)

WHAT IT CLAIMS: “Use Super Body Care Shower Gel in your shower regimen for everyday use, and before and after being exposed to challenging environments that may affect your skin health. Apply to wet skin, lather, and rinse. May be used on entire body and as a shampoo.”

INGREDIENTS:
Certified organic aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, water (aqua), certified organic lippia  citriodora (lemon verbena) & lavendula augustifolia (lavender) flowers; certified organic citrus nobilis (mandarin orange) & citrius aurantium dulcis (sweet orange) peel oils, PPG-2 hydroxyethyl coco/isostearamide, sodium chloride, sodium lauroyl oat & sodium cocoyl apple amino acids; panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), butyrospermum parkii (shea butter) extract, glycerin, sodium PCA, decyl glucoside, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, citric acid, lavendula angustifolia (Lavender) oil , mentha piperata (Peppermint) oil, rosemarinus officianalis (Rosemary) oil, citrus bergamia (Bergamot) oil, melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) oil.

MY EXPERIENCE: The Super Body Care Shower Gel is a clean shower gel that lathers quite nicely on its own. It also comes with the enticing peppermint tang that boosts up the senses, leaving a tingling sensation on your cleansed skin.

WHAT I LIKED:
  • The shower gel is mild and didn’t dry out or give white patches on my skin. However, there was a stretchy feeling which is quite normal in this winter.
  • Lathers decently even without a loofah. I didn’t try it as a shampoo though.
  • I absolutely love the peppermint smell (You already know that right! :P ).
  • Claims to have anti-bacterial properties. And I really get a very ‘clean’ feeling after using this.
  • No mineral oil or petroleum based ingredients. Mainly consists of plant matter and essential oils.
  • Super Body Care doesn’t test on animals.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • The mouth of the bottle is round and wide so one might pour product than necessary. However, they sell the multiuse pump dispenser too at $1.
  • Availability is an issue. You can buy it from here.
#Note: Super Body care advertises its products mainly in USA and Australia markets as of now due to hodgepodge international regulations.

VERDICT: Again, a perfect companion for a tingling bath in the summer days or whenever you need that extra jolt to your senses. I am really loving this kit. Too bad we don’t get them here.
