Vedic Line+ Exfo 10 Avocado Face Scrub Review

Writing this review reminds me that I have a backlog on so many posts, which I have planned to write so many days ago. Anyhoo, today I am going to review the Vedic Line+ Exfo 10 Avocado Face Scrub which I have got around some two months ago, and it was lying unused, but finally I tried and tested it and here is my view on it.

PRICE:  Rs.175

QUANTITY: 75 ml

INGREDIENTS:

MY EXPERIENCE: Vedic Line+ Exfo 10 Avocado Face Scrub comes in pink tube packaging and that is the cutest part of it. The scrub has a creamy base, and I find the scrub granules, though big in size and hard, doesn't effectively scrub my skin. I really don't get any scrubbed glow after using this. But, yes if you have very sensitive skin, the creamy base makes it a gentle scrub and you can use it, make sure that you don't rub the scrub hard.

It has kinda sweet wheatgerm/avocado smell to it. I have used it as a body scrub too, and it was again so gentle. What miffed me, that I tried this some two days ago, and after that I have got three zits on my face (ah it pains like hell :( ). Now I won't say this is the sole culprit, since I am changing my skin care products, but I really don't know!

WHAT I LIKED:
  • Has a creamy base, which makes the scrubbing really gentle.
  • Since it is so creamy, my dry skin doesn't feel any stretchiness.
  • Comes in a pink tube packaging which is hygienic.
  • Those who don't like parabens in their product, would be happy as this is paraben free.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • I don't see any visible after effect of this whatsoever.
  • I got a few breakouts the last time I used it, so I am not sure whether I would be using this again.

VERDICT: I am not completely impressed with the effect of the scrub, or rather the lack of it. If have very dry and sensitive skin, and want a very gentle scrub, then you can give this a try.

Vedic Line Aromatherapy Face and Body Wash with Black Currant Review

Yes, I have been hoarding bath products like anything! :D Continuing with the string of bath product reviews, today I am going to review the Vedic Line Aromatherapy Face and Body Wash with  Black Currant. I loved the fact that it explicitly claims to be a face wash as well as a body wash, as I belong to those special species who love to use their body washes on face, face scrubs on body, lip balms on cuticles and such multitasking products :P

PRICE: Rs.150

QUANTITY: 100ml

INGREDIENTS:

MY EXPERIENCE: Vedic Line Aromatherapy Face and Body Wash is a pale violet shower gel, in a pump dispenser bottle. The packaging does make it completely leak proof and travel friendly, but only thing it squirts out so little amount, that I require to pump it 4-5times to get a palm full of the gel. It lathers decently and  washes without leaving my skin dry, but it is not moisturising either. However, my facial skin did feel stretchy when I use it as a face wash.

Now coming to the smell, I have very limited experience of the Black Currant smell, with one of an ice cream and another might have been of some smoothie or a juice. However, the shower gel reminds me more of an incense stick smell that I couldn't place, but it is certainly invigorating and it relaxes me everytime. It is quite subtle, and hardly lingers on skin. The fact that it has anti-bacterial properties too, is an added benefit in this monsoon. Other than this I didn't notice anything special though it is comparatively pricier than other shower gels, given the quantity.

WHAT I LIKED:
  • The gel like consistency is perfect, it is neither runny nor too thick, but spreads and foams easily.
  • Gives decent lather even without a loofah. Honestly, I never used a loofah with this one.
  • I love the smell, as it is so relaxing.
  • Doesn't dry out my skin and neither does it leave any residual layer.
  • I quite like the no-nonsense, leakproof, travel friendly packaging. Only had it pumped better, it would have been outstanding.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • Comparatively pricier for the quantity.
  • The smell hardly lingers after the bath.
  • It finished up real fast. Don't know if that's because I liked to use it more, or because the quantity was so less. ;)
VERDICT: It scored mainly for the lovely relaxing fragrance, which I liked the most and the fact that it is gentle enough to be used on face too. If you like trying out new body washes then you might give this a try!

Vedic Line+ BB Cream Review

Hey ya ladies! Recently, one particular skin care product is generating quite a buzz, as it addresses both the time-crunch we all face while getting ready in the morning and our desire for flawless skin. BB Creams, which has been the beauty secret of Korean women for so long, is starting to gain momentum here in India! Sadly, most of us cannot get our hands on the authentic Korean BB creams here, but there is hope for us, as many cosmetic brands in India are launching their own versions of BB creams! Now the question is how many of them act like an actual BB cream?

I got a chance to try out the newly launched BB cream from Vedic Line+ range. It sure created an uproar in the beauty blog world as it was the first BB cream to call itself a Blemish Balm and not some other long form of the abbreviation! :P Let's see how much it works like one!

PRICE: Rs. 250

QUANTITY: 30 ml

INGREDIENTS:

WHAT IT CLAIMS: "Vedic Line BB Blemish Balm Cream serves as foundation or primer  for application of make-up. Does not come off easily by sweat or sebum. Protects for upto 12 hours unless washed off with soap."

SWATCH:

MY EXPERIENCE: When I first opened the package, the pink tube packaging immediately caught my attention. It's so pinky-pinky, girly-girly, and yet not tacky at all! The Vedic Line+ BB Cream comes in one shade, and is of thin consistency, with a light floral smell. Need only a tiny blob to blend it on the whole face and neck and it gets absorbed instantly though requires a bit extra effort in blending. My first two reactions, it doesn't provide much coverage, and it starts/aggravates my facial sweating esp. along my hairline and upperlip area, in this hot weather! It did add a subtle glow and that stayed throughout the whole day even when half of it came off with all that sweat and it kept oiliness at bay on my combination skin for few hours.

WHAT I LIKED:
  • Doesn't feel heavy on skin.
  • Gives a subtle glow on face that lasts almost whole day.
  • Comes in a handy tube packaging and the pink color is adorable.
  • The product is paraben free.
  • Contains SPF 20.
  • Keeps oiliness at bay on my combination skin for 4-5hours!
  • The price is comparable to other TMs and BB creams available in the local market.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • It aggravates my facial sweating near my hairline and lip area as soon as I apply it.
  • Doesn't provide any coverage as such, unlike a BB cream.
  • Available in only one shade, but since it is so light in texture, I think it would blend with all skin tones.
  • Doesn't heal acne, wrinkles or lines as a BB cream supposed to do!

VERDICT:
I guess this would be more suitable to wear in cooler weather. I don't think it would work for the oily skinned or combination skinned ladies in this hot weather. As per the claims of an actual BB cream, this doesn't match up to them. However, those who like very light makeup coverage can give this a try!
