New haul from Oasap.com: Watermelon pink bag + 2 Eyeshadow quads

Yes you read it right! Oasap.com has introduced a new beauty section of some Korean/Japanese cosmetics. As a beauty blogger, I was obviously attracted to this section and decided upon to get two Canbah eyeshadow quads from this range.

Next, I chose this pretty pink cute bag from Oasap.com

I placed my order on 21st Aug, and it got delivered today, i.e. approx. in 15 days :D, which is super fast considering the weather is pretty bad here for past 2-3 days. The items came safely sealed and I received some freebies too, an eco-friendly bag and a special card for discounts on next time purchases.

The bag comes with a top zipped closure. Inside, there are two pockets and a zip pocket. It is spacious and strong enough to hold all the essential items.

I am really impressed with the eyeshadow quads too, they come with a small mirror and an applicator inside. The quality of the shadows is really good, soft and semi-creamy to touch, without any fallouts. I am yet to try them on eyes, so can't comment on their blendability and lasting power, but it seems quite nice from the swatches.

Hope you liked my haul. Don't forget to check out more such awesome stuff at Oasap.com

Enliven Luxury Bath + Shower Gel in Calming Review

Yeah, I am a hoarder! I have lost count of how many bath products I have reviewed in last few months. :P But how can you stop yourself, when you see such a chubby bottle, with some blue ocean like liquid, at an unbelievable price and quantity! You got to grab it as fast as you can! Right? I had to get this Enliven Luxury Bath + Shower Gel in Calming as it sounded so luxurious and peaceful (?) at the same time. Err...yeah I know I sound crazy! :P Read on know how it fared.

PRICE:  Rs. 175

QUANTITY: 500 ml

INGREDIENTS:

WHAT IT CLAIMS:  Infused with essential oils, this luxury shower gel has extracts of Cedarwood & Patchouli. Enliven has injected a touch of class with the launch of Enliven Luxury line. This new range includes new aroma combinations infused with essential oils.

MY EXPERIENCE: Enliven is a British health and beauty company, Made in England at DCS Manufacturing in Stratford-upon-Avon. Enliven products are not tested on animals, are vegan and are also halal. Enliven Luxury Bath + Shower Gel in Calming claims to have extracts of Cedarwood & Patchouli, though I find the smell to be like men's after shave cologne (Old Spice? ;) ). But I actually like the smell, as I am fond of woody, musky aromas than fruity/citrusy smell. The shower gel is palest blue in color, and very runny in texture, though the flippy dispensing mouth controls the flow.

Coming to the not so good part, it requires heaps and heaps of the gel to lather properly. I am using it everyday, for hardly three weeks and the 500ml bottle is about to finish now :(. Since so much of the gel is required, it takes load and loads of water and time to completely wash off, else it gives a slippery feeling. Added to it, the packaging is too bulky to be used in the shower. Oh and don't expect the smell to stay for more than 2 minutes. Didn't exactly dry out my skin but you cannot skip the moisturiser after using this. Adding up the pros and cons,

WHAT I LIKED:
  • The price for the quantity certainly seems a bargain.
  • I like the woody cologne like smell.
  • The packaging with the tiny flip dispenser mouth is perfect and controls the amount of flow.
  • Enliven claims to be a vegan product.
  • Didn't dry out my skin.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
  • Huge quantity of gel is required to lather it up, hence finishes up pretty fast.
  • Takes longer to wash off completely.
  • Smell doesn't last at all.
  • The bottle is bulky to hold in shower.

VERDICT: I am kinda disappointed with it as I expected it to be better. I like the smell, but I don't see the point of repurchasing it after adding up the cons. Nothing luxurious about it.

RATINGS:  3 out of 5

Random Swatch Post: Faces, ColorBar, Tips & Toes

Hey ya ladies! I was just going through some of my clicked-for-blog pictures and thought of sharing some swatches of the products that were repurchased in different shades. The pics were taken at different times, in different lights, and sometimes in different moods ;). So kindly excuse the quality of some of the pictures, but I have tried my best to present the accurate colors, as always.

Faces Canada long wear eye pencil
(click on the link to read my review) has been one of my favorites of all time, and I got it in two other shades, Purple and Metal Brown,

ColorBar Velvet Matte Lipstick (click on the link to read my review) has been a cult favorite (and mine too), for budget matte lipstick and this time I got it in the shade Oh My Magenta, which is the second brightest hot pink/candy pink shade in my recent acquisitions :P, as I was discussing in my earlier posts.

Next up, Tips & Toes Nail Enamel (click on the link to read my review) in shade Moscow (45). They have changed the bottle (as you can see from my previous review) and hiked the price and lessened the quantity too *hmph*. Rs. 50 for 5ml and Rs.95 for 9ml.

That's it for now and I hope these swatches would be of some help to you.
